The Behringer Meatball is an analogue envelope filter designed to respond directly to your playing dynamics. Sensitivity, Attack and Decay controls how quickly and intensely the filter reacts to each note, allowing subtle vowel-like movement or sharp, percussive peaks. This dynamic response makes clean rhythm parts pulse with movement and gives bass lines a pronounced, synth-style growl.
Resonance and Colour shape the tonal character of the filter, while selectable sweep direction, filter mode and filter range let you define how the frequency spectrum shifts. Bandwidth settings further refine how focused or wide the filter peak becomes. A Blend control mixes dry and effected signals for controlled clarity, and an onboard FX loop expands routing options with other pedals.
Expression and CV inputs enable real-time sweep control, and true bypass preserves signal integrity when disengaged. With analogue circuitry and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz response, the Meatball supports everything from tight funk articulation to experimental textures.
